Pet Peevin'

People who know me know that my biggest pet peeve is misuse of the apostrophe. It makes me want to puke when someone is advertising "Sock's" or mailing something to "The Thompson's". My new close second, though, is people who are not handicapped using the buttons that automatically open doors for the handicapped. If I had a quarter for every time I've seen some fat feeble slag use their limp paw to hit one of those buttons instead of pull (or more infuriatingly, push) a door open, I'd be rich. What really irks me is that if that heap of shit pulled that door for him/herself, that'd be the most exercise they'd get all day. It's never more obvious than on the train. On a metra train, you enter at the center of the car, and then you are in a vestibule and there are doors to the right and left that lead to that side of the train car. In the handicap-accessible cars, the doors are controlled by one of those buttons, or by opening with the limbs that hang off of one's shoulders. On a crowded train, people who arrive late get on as soon as they can (so as not to miss the train), and then walk through the train to the car they want to get on. If you're stuck behind some asshole/assholette that wants to tap this button and wait for the door to open for them, you can miss out on getting a seat at all. It's not like these doors are heavy at all, either, but even the lightest door is too heavy for a lump of bacon grease and combos. Worse still is when the weather's cold enough to crack your ass, and some lazy doughball pops the handicapped door and lets all the cold air in. There oughtta be a law.

well... i do use the handicap button often, do forgive me deary.

in many of the office buildings i've been in, the doors that do have the handicap buttons tend to be harder to open for whatever reason. (the electronic mechanism is heavy?).. i hope you forgive me. i'm not a fat slag.

I do hate it when fat slags take the elevator because their ass is too big to waddle up and down some stairs. And I hate it even more when everyone on an escalator is clearly standing on the right side to let people pass on the left, then some fatass comes and stands on the left... then you politely walk by them doing a zig zag and they look at you like you're crazy. some people are too dumb to wake up and see the environment surrounding them.
