Because of my daughter, I've watched a heap of sesame street. It is, by and large, the same as it was, but they've added new characters that are totally unnecessary (Take Elmo for example). They also added a heap of female "monsters" since all the female muppets were ostensiby human when we watched. Now they've added Abby Kadabby, a flying, sparkly muppet with a magic wand. This, to me, seems like a blatant way to get the marketing hooks into the princesses craze brought to you by disney. Miette is a princess (pink pwincess) for halloween this year. The only princess dresses one can by nowadays have these fake lockets with the corresponding disney princess' picture on them. I guess to severely limit the imagination of just being "Princess Miette" for halloween... and to remind you how long it's been since you've had "Sleeping Beauty" in the VCR.
