Let Me See thaat Throng...

34 floors above the pandemonium, we observed the White Sox victory rally. Pretty cool to watch from this high up, though I had no interest in rubbing elbows wit "da Believers".
People were lined up at 3 AM. This was the view of the Clark Street Bridge (one block away from the stage) an hour beforehand:

That's the view Northwest out my office window. We then moved down to the travel department to watch the rest. I stood on a desk to get this shot (Sorry about the glare in both):

The single most impressive thing was the police moving the crowd once the caravan arrived and they could fill in closer to the stage. They moved the crowd at the top of the picture, as wide as the street, down closer a half a block with no incidents. Seeing that many people moving was moving. The fireworks and the roar of the crowd through the widows that far away was impressive. As was the F-16 flyover.

Wierd place to have the rally, though, in a major intersection on the river. I want to believe that the reason is symbolic; they paraded from US Cellular field to the Southern edge of the river as a big middle finger to the north side.
